Here at the Pet Education Club, we hope to dispel myths, educate the pet owner about laws/legislation and other things that are eroding your right to own pets. We also hope to encourage folks to make informed choices when it comes to getting a new pet. While it is great and wonderful to help a homeless pet, you should not be made to feel guilty if your situation or your own personal desire leans towards purchasing a breeder raised puppy rather than a shelter dog.
One very important thing you need to realize is that words matter!! What was once cute or easily understood is now warped by outside forces. It use to be cute to call your dog "your baby" or "like my child" and then a movement started that includes terms like"guardian of your dog" The average person considers their family pet as extra special so using a phrase like "guardian" seems harmless enough, until you begin to understand that this is the beginning of certain group's political agendas to end all pet ownership, all breeding, all scientific studies, all circuses and rodeos. Just remember words matter.
